“Passing on the curbside!”

It was a crisp day with strong gusts – we found a sunny spot next to the Lloyd Center for the meet-up, then rode north down the new bike lane down the left side of Williams Ave. We stopped at Dawson Park and pondered the history of the neighborhood, played on the swings and the spinning whatnots, then headed up to the Rodney diverter, where one of the plastic bollards has been run over, allowing cars to pass through. With a sigh and some discussion about the effects of culture and infrastructure, and vice versa, we gamboled over to the model train show: one big room full of nerdy conductors, wide-eyed kids of all ages, and cool miniature trains moving slowly through a massive diorama.
