Sunday, January 20, 2019: Planes, Trains, Automobiles & Bikes
Cully Park opened last year in NE Portland, but it’s somewhat hidden from view on a dead-end street. The park sits on a ridge that overlooks railroad tracks, a road, and not too far away, the Portland Airport. So from several elevated spots in the park you can watch planes coming in to land, trains on the tracks, or even automobiles on Columbia Blvd. The park is encircled by a half-mile paved fitness course providing even more views. The bike ride is a 15-mile loop with a different bike-friendly route there and back. The return route will go right by the re-vamped Whitaker Ponds Nature Park, and then down the 20s Bikeway to Sewallcrest Park.

Meet: 1:00 p.m., at Sewallcrest Park (map)
